Features
What goes into the backup?
Everything on the main server – and everything that changes on it later.
Live
New messages, edits, deletions, role and permission changes, bans – in the backup within seconds.
Crash-proof
After a restart it continues exactly where it stopped. Nothing twice, nothing missed.
Original quality
Images and videos are re-uploaded byte for byte, not just linked.
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Messages | Cloning and continuous sync, with the original name, avatar and date; replies, forwarded messages, polls, embeds. |
| Images, videos, files | In original, full quality, in the same message as the original (up to the backup server's size limit). |
| Edits, deletions | Live, and whatever happened while the bot was down is caught up when it starts. |
| Channels | Categories, text, announcement, voice, stage and forum channels; name, topic, NSFW, slow mode, user limit, bitrate, order. |
| Channel permissions | Per-channel permissions for roles and members – live. |
| Threads | Active, archived and private threads, forum posts. |
| Roles | Name, colour, permissions, shown separately, mentionable, order, @everyone permissions – live. |
| Members | Those who are on the backup server too get the same roles, nickname and personal permissions. |
| Bans | Existing and new ones, with the unbans. |
| Server | Banner, invite background, verification level, notifications, content filter, AFK and system channel. The backup's name and icon do not change. |
| Emojis, stickers | Creating, renaming, deleting – live. |
| Log | On the dashboard: how much of what was synced, and every live change. |
Limits set by Discord
- The largest file that can be uploaded to the backup server: 10 MB without boosts, Level 2: 50 MB, Level 3: 100 MB. Bigger files are linked.
- A bot cannot invite members to a server. Whoever joins the backup gets their roles from the main server automatically.
- Messages longer than 2000 characters (Nitro) appear as two consecutive messages in the backup.
- Forum, stage and announcement channels are created as the same type only on a Community backup server.
